Virtual Birth Support

Includes prenatal consultations, on-call birth support, and postpartum preparation.
Includes creating a “birth plan"
Your virtual doula can provide suggestions for labor coping, talking your partner through how they can be helpful, positions and progress, explain your options and interventions that may arise, help facilitate communication between you and your care providers, offer encouragement and keep you focused and positive throughout your birth experience.

Postpartum Support Package
With postpartum support you can bring your newborn home feeling secure and confident.
A doula will come to your home to support your family and teach the basics of newborn care, nourishing foods for healing, breastfeeding, soothing skills, interpreting cues, and providing recovery time for new mothers (think naps!). Postpartum care looks different for every family so your doula will work with you to come up with a schedule and a plan that fits you best.
Postpartum doulas can:
help create a support system
provide referrals to resources: classes, pediatricians, lactation support and support groups
give evidence-based informational support for postpartum and newborn questions
support with feeding, body or bottle
empathize and listen to provide non-judgmental emotional support
inform regarding healthy sleep habits
cook light meals and snacks
run small errands
give parents time to bond and rest by performing light household duties, such as washing dishes, laundry, etc.

Overnight Support
Overnight care is one of our most popular services! Nighttime parenting is one of the hardest transitions after your new baby arrives.
Your overnight doula support is tailored to what your family desires. Overnight care may be anytime from the first night home to several times per week, to seven nights per week, continuing for several months.
If bottle feeding the doula feeds, changes, burps and settles your baby back to sleep. You can enjoy a full night’s rest!
For breastfeeding, your doula brings your baby to you, when the baby is ready to nurse, assists with latch/position and observes to ensure the baby is nursing effectively and you are comfortable. After the baby finishes nursing you go back to sleep for a few more hours of sound sleep until the next feed. And the doula, changes and soothes the baby back to sleep. Your doula rests, or naps, as the baby sleeps until the next feed.
Investment: $55/hr
Placenta Encapsulation
The human placenta is rich in vitamins, minerals and hormones that, when properly prepared for ingestion, may greatly enhance a woman/birthing person’s recovery after the birth experience.
Further potential benefits may include:
Restoration of iron levels in the new mother/birthing person
Enhancing breast/chestmilk production
Improving energy and quality of sleep
Reducing the onset of postpartum depression
All of of the above are crucial to a new mom/postpartum person’s ability to adjust to both the physical and emotional changes that take place after baby is born.
When labor begins, you will alert your contracted Placenta Specialist. Your Placenta Specialist will pick up your placenta from your home or hospital ideally within 24 hours of your birth. This will be scheduled directly with the specialist with the number provided to you. The encapsulation process will take 24 to 48 hours to complete.
Placenta package includes:
Placenta capsules
Umbilical cord keepsake
Additional Placenta services are available— please inquire!
